Tend Exhibition and Opening Reception
Tend looks at gardens can be a place of respite, renewal, and care for places and people, and so we are excited to draw those threads together while being physically in a garden space that does just that! The Stations in the Garden ends at the gallery, with a reception and chance to see the show.
The reception for Tend will be June 18th from 5:30-8pm. As The Bridge House Gallery is a part of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, the first part of the reception from 5:30-6:30 will be a play on the Stations of the Cross, but instead be a Stations of the Garden, with reflections, meditations, and music as folks move about the gardens at the church (Holy Cross is a level 1 arboretum and has a large native Missouri plant garden space that is stunning in June!).
I want to respect that not everyone in the show may be religious or even feel comfortable in a church type space...if that is you, please feel free to come at 6:30 and meet at the gallery for the reception. But, if you'd like to participate in the service beforehand then plan to come at 5:30 and meet up in the gardens by the church.
In the event of inclement weather, the Stations of the Garden may be cancelled or move inside the church, but for sure the reception will happen in the Bridge House at 6:30pm.
The Bridge House Gallery is located at 3617 Texas Ave, next to Holy Cross Lutheran Church and right across from Intersect Arts Center. The show is now open for viewing, though folks who would like to see the show will need to make an appointment at 573-575-6485 or intersectstl@gmail.com. Appointments can be made for Tuesday-Friday anytime between 11am-4pm and on Saturdays between 1-5pm.
